On December 17, 2020, the " Ocean Negative Carbon Emissions (ONCE)" International Science Program Symposium convened by Professor Nianzhi Jiao was held in Weihai. This is the first meeting of the International Grand Science Program on Negative Ocean Emissions, to research and develop Marine "Negative Emissions" technology to support the national "Carbon Neutral" strategy. The way of meeting is through a combination of online and offline methods, brings together top scholars from China, Canada, Germany, France, Israel and other countries and regions to discuss the scientific principles, process mechanisms and implementation of scheme of marine negative emission.
