TAM III is a sensitive, stable and flexible microcalorimeter system from TA Instruments. The system can efficiently and accurately control the temperature ranging from 4 °C to 150 °C. The temperature regulation system utilizing state-of-the-art electronic thermistors and sensors to constantly adjust the heating, cooling and uniform oil flow speed for a temperature drift over 24 hours of less than ±100 μ °C. TAM III has the advantage of being general, nondestructive and very sensitive. It can be used for quantitative thermodynamic and kinetic observation of any process, and particularly useful for research characterizing the metabolic activities of living system and in studies of cellular and biomolecular interactions.
